BiographyBorn and raised in Eastern Europe, I came to Canada over twenty years ago, to start a new and better life. The first few years were not what I expected to be. I had to study a lot, take many courses in spite of having a previous university degree, and go through an economical recession. Finally, when things looked more settled and my daughter was born, my divorce happened. In 2009, I felt the need to have more freedom in terms of choosing who I work for, so I started my own software testing company. It was a small business but it gave me the opportunity to meet so many people from different backgrounds and cultures, and most importantly, to make a few good friends. Even if we ended up taking different career paths, we’ve still managed to be in close touch and have been meeting once in a while for a drink or a nice dinner. 2012 was a very important year in my life – I started studying to become a licensed realtor, purchased my Burnaby townhouse, all these while I was a single parent. It was tough but my luck came soon when I met my husband. The process of pursuing my real estate licence was a lengthier than I foresaw but I wanted to make sure that I am fully prepared from all aspects and that the transition from the previous career will go smooth – which actually happened. Throughout my entire life, I was involved in many real estate transactions both in Canada and overseas. In most cases I had acted as either the sole seller or the sole buyer, and managed to deal with each situation with positive results. So I was thinking, with the real estate knowledge acquired through life experiences, and my natural determination and people skills, why not helping others through the challenges of buying or selling their homes?! My business philosophy is that, through trust, kindness, commitment and professionalism, you can build up a good reputation among your clients. I also believe in partnering with great people. In that regard, I am very excited I recently joined Team 3000 Realty, and am currently working with the best real estate professionals and mentors in the industry. In the end, I can tell you that each real estate transaction is like a unique experience, which gives us, the realtors, an opportunity to learn more, meet people from all walks of life, and get better at what we are doing. That’s why I love my real estate career! |
